With members across Pakistan from different business sectors, PGBF is one of the most established business forums in Pakistan.

Pakistan German Business Forum works in close cooperation with the German Embassy in Islamabad, the Consulate General in Karachi and the Pakistan Embassy in Berlin, for the purpose of fulfillment of its objectives.

Pakistan German Business Forum has its Head office located in Karachi, with an additional branch in Lahore.

The Forum is a non-profit organization, and its board of directors comprises of representatives of leading German and Pakistani companies.

Chairman's Message

The mission of promoting bilateral trade and investment between Germany and Pakistan has completed 2 decades in Pakistan. In all these years, Pakistan German Business Forum has worked vigorously to provide a platform for networking and business growth to the two nations, while at the same time encouraging the two-way relationship for enlarging investment activities in Pakistan.

The Forum has been successful in bridging the gap between the two countries and has always strived to bring to life the dream of across-the-border entrepreneurship by way of delegations, seminars and conferences in as varied venues as Germany, Dubai, India and China, while simultaneously hosting and receiving delegations from abroad.

The current Board took over charge after PGBF elections in the month of February 2016. I am thankful to the members for entrusting me with the leadership of PGBF for the next 3 years. I and the new Board will live up to the tradition of serving the interest of our members in particular and for the development of bilateral business and economic activities between Pakistan and Germany in general.

The year 2015-2016 witnessed certain major events as is customary for PGBF. In July 2015, PGBF organized the farewell event of H. E. Dr. Cyrill Nunn, the outgoing Ambassador of Germany in Pakistan, in collaboration with PGBF members and business leaders in Lahore. In August 2015, PGBF held a farewell dinner for Dr. Tilo Klinner, the outgoing Consul General of Germany in Karachi. Welcome dinners were also organized in the honour of the new German Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Ms. Ina Lepel in Karachi and Lahore, in February 2016. In April 2016, PGBF Lahore organized a Spring Fest in Lahore to celebrate and to showcase local handicrafts.

Also, last year in April, delegates from PGBF and GPti (PGBF’s sister concern) participated in a conference ‘Pakistan-Bavarian Business Conference: Economy Talks’ at Bavaria, Germany with a delegation from the Sindh Province of Pakistan under the leadership of the Chairperson of Sindh Board of Investment, Ms. Naheed Memon. The Conference provided an excellent opportunity for the esteemed members to learn first-hand of investment and business opportunities for Bavarian companies in Pakistan.

This year, some other events and programs to strengthen the ties between Germany and Pakistan are in the pipeline. One such program is planned in collaboration with Sindh Board of Investment and GPCCI to highlight and resolve the opportunities and challenges faced by businesses in the province of Sindh. You shall be hearing more about it soon.

I am thankful to all our previous and current patrons and patrons-in-chief for contributing to the cause of bilateral trade between the two countries throughout.

Thank you PGBF members and supporters for being part of this great mission. Together we continue to foster harmony between the two nations for mutual benefits today and tomorrow.
